I have a widget that is embedded on one of our webpages. It’s set up to pull events from a specific group tagged with a specific widget. Other events with the same set up are pulling correctly, but this one event is not showing up on the widget. What could be the cause of that because everything looks to be set up correctly?
Any chance the event’s privacy is not set to “everyone”?
Exactly what we were going to suggest Jon—double-checking the privacy settings of the event would be our first place to look and see if that might be the issue.
Content with any setting other than “Everyone” will not show up in search, API results, or widgets by default: Privacy Options - LiveWhale Support
Let us know if you’re still having issues after taking a peek there. Hope that helps!
Rachael
I just checked and it is set to Everyone under privacy options.
Hi Kevin,
Hmm…okay then, next question. Is the event appearing on the main calendar view without issue? Could you link us to that URL?
One other suggestion would be to double-check the widget settings as well— make sure there’s nothing in the settings that might be preventing it from showing. For example, a max/min setting or an arg that says it has to contain, say, multiple tags or event types, or something like that. That’s usually something I like to check just in case I might have overlooked anything where the criteria isn’t being met.
If you’re coming up empty still and need some hands-on help specifically, you can submit through the Request Help Form` and we can take a closer look at what might be happening to figure things out. Thanks,
Rachael
Yep, sorry. I found a max was set that I wasn’t aware of. Looks like I got it fixed. Thanks!
