I found this post about updating event data from new info in the feed, namely tags. What I couldn’t find was specific guidance about actually getting those events updated. Does deleting them allow them to be re-imported from the feed, or does it just delete them and now Livewhale doesn’t re-import them because they were deleted? I’m trying to find a way to deal with a non-trivial tag overhaul for one of our programs.
I believe that if you delete an imported event in LW it will reappear when the feed is synced again, assuming no custom code or specialised behaviors in your LW installation…

Thanks G! Yes, that’s right, LiveWhale will re-import a fresh copy of any event from a linked calendar that has been previously deleted. (New messaging in LW3+ clarifies this too when you go to delete it.)
We’re considering further extensions to Linked Calendar options—things like “ always sync Event types from the source feed,” “ always sync Tags from the source feed” type of options. The final scope of those and UI aren’t quite settled yet, but it is something we’re aware would be nice to cover without needing extra custom code ore manual handling. Hope this helps!
