Tags are not brought over for Shared Events

Hello,

We are wondering why the tags are not brought over when an event is shared from one group with the other when it is accepted by the group? We are wondering if that is by design or a bug?

Hi Akbar,

Sorry this thread slipped through the cracks last semester!

The current, intended behavior is that Global Tags get maintained when an item is shared across groups. Since groups can manage their own tags, our thought is that many groups might use tags differently, and so you wouldn’t want to Accept a shared news story from another group and suddenly you have 12 new items in your tag library, just because of how that other group was managing tags.
