As the title suggests, it would be cool to be able to provide a regex inside an XPHP variable in order to extract a portion of it. This would extend to the <field> syntax as well which would be useful in widgets.
As an example, we import some events from another source, and they all come in with titles like, “Rams on the Road - DFW”, “Rams on the Road - Austin”, etc. I would like to display just the part of the title after the “-”. I don’t necessarily want to change the title of the event itself, just what displays in the widget.
