Integrating Atrium with LiveWhale?

Hi folks,

Someone in our university wants to know if anyone has experience integrating LiveWhale with the Atrium campus card management system. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it possible?

Hey Rob,

I don’t have personal experience with Atrium, but the first question we’d always ask for any integration is—what is the goal in terms of functionality? Is it to pull events from Atrium (if Atrium stores event data)? Is it to send data—say, even RSVPs—to Atrium? Is it to use it as a source of login/sign-on? Happy to help brainstorm further if you want to hunt down some additional context for us. Thanks!

Thanks, Karl. What I heard back is that the goal is to store the authenticated event attendance data (tracked in Atrium) in one place (LiveWhale), paired with event data (and all of the additional details stored in LiveWhale). They also want to know if it’s possible to pair separate event IDs to make joining these easier.

Thanks Rob – we don’t currently have plumbing for adding custom/manual event registrations into LiveWhale, because most of the RSVP integrations people have been interested in get “pushed” from LW into other systems. That is, “When someone registers for an event in LiveWhale, send this info to [our CRM or other application API] for tracking.”

Certainly it could be added, but from our perspective it would be a new/fresh integration that would need spec’ing out. Hope this helps! :slight_smile:
