iCal behaviour for past events

We have a new mobile app that pulls in our LW iCal feed, which works great BUT it seems that recently (or it’s only been noticed recently) the calendar feed is set to remove events that have finished.

Has it always been this way or is there a setting somewhere that the iCal can pull in all events + events that have passed, say, a few weeks ago, so that our mobile app calendar doesn’t appear blank?

Or might we have to resort to widget-tinkering?

That looks like Pathify, yeah? We just went through the same thing as a new Pathify customer.

I’m in a meeting at the moment, but I will respond shortly with what we did.

OK, we ran into the same issue with events dropping off the Pathify calendar after they passed. LiveWhale ICAL feeds do not contain past events by default. But you can add the start_date parameter to the ICAL URL to do so.

And the great thing is, that parameter can take relative date strings. We added /start_date/-1%20year/ to ours, so our ICAL feed will include events from the past year. You could use “-3 weeks” or whatever you feel is sufficient in your case.
