Group_gid when inheriting navigation

It looks like when you set a group to inherit the navigation of another group (donor), the xphp variable group_gid when viewed in detail templates for profiles will be the group id of the donor group instead of it’s own group id. I can surmise why this happens but I need to know the original group id for the profile sometimes. Please tell me there is another secret xphp variable which can give me this…

Hi G,

If you’re inside a profile details template, I think the XPHP variable details_gid should give you the gid of the item in question; let us know if that doesn’t do the trick. Hope this helps!
