Thus, is there a way to exclude specific profile or blurb types from this link creation dialog? Alternatively, is there a way to append the profile type name into each row?
I’d prefer the exclusion method, if possible. There’s other types that I don’t want editors linking to and would like to exclude.
Thanks for writing and we see what you mean in this situation when there are multiple profiles and how it can get confusing.
To help with this, we agree that adding a prefix of the profile type in the title when profiles come up in the “Make a link”. That way, you could see “Employee: Helen M Werner” or “Accomplishment: Helen M. Werner” or whatever profile type you might be using and choose which to link to.
We’ve roadmapped this for a feature in a future release of LiveWhale. Thanks again for bringing this up!

I am still interested in excluding specific types from this dialog, if feasible. I’m thinking of instances where we have profiles/blurbs:
that should only appear in widgets (accomplishments, emergency alerts)
that are for internal processes (course catalog sections)
Or perhaps this could be done via a custom module. I may see a potential example we have to work from that involves excluding specific event types from widgets, but I know that will do more than I want in most cases. Perhaps I can poke into that if I see this becoming a major issue in the short term.
